What Is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

This is a great question. One I get asked all the time. Search Engine Optimization is basically what you do to your website to get it to show up and rank for specific keywords on a search engine. We mostly talk about Google because that is the biggest search engine.

Most people think that once you have a website and it is published that people will be able to find you. Unfortunately this is not the case and the chances are very low that you will be found online if you don't do any SEO.

The whole reason you got a website for your business in the first place was so that you could bring in more customers.

If you got your website for any other reason, congratulations, you don't need to worry about anyone finding it online and you won't be needing SEO.
